Snow Day

There has been so much snow lately! I was just commenting that there wasn't any snow about 2 weeks ago, but wow what a show mother nature has been putting on lately! Well Teya has been wanting to play in the snow since she got her snow boots. Teya's friends Danica and Bryhn have been out in the snow with Teya every second they get. Tiana is always dying to join in, so I had to bite the bullet and take them sledding! They had such a good time. I pulled the girls around on the sled and we built a really tiny (the snow wasn't melted enough to stick well) snowman in the front yard. I love that this year Tiana is big enough to join in the fun, besides the fact that she kind of walks like Ralphy's brother Randy in a Christmas Story with all of her gear on! I love it....my girls are so much fun!

It's almost Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Teya and Tiana are so excited about Christmas. TJ and I are pretty excited too...Teya was so much fun to watch on Christmas morning last year, now Tiana is old enough too! She is a big kid all of the sudden. It is bittersweet....I want Tiana to continue to grow and learn....but she is no longer my little baby. She is now toddling around doing EVERYTHING her sister does. Poor Teya has a little shadow. I think that Teya likes it though...she loves to be watched, she is my little performer. We hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season. We will have to put a video of Christmas morning on after the holiday. I can't wait to see their faces!

The Ladybug and the Bee

Halloween has come again! For those of you who do not know me very well let me tell you something about myself: I LOVE HALLOWEEN! My kids are destined to be the same as well. They have been helping me decorate our home and yard with glee as well. We have been watching Halloween movies and practicing Halloween songs since the end of September. I had their pictures taken a couple of weeks ago, Teya is going to be a bee and Tiana is a ladybug. I loved the idea of them both being bugs. They are my little bugs. Teya looks adorable in her little antennae and Tiana looks so cute toddling around with that ladybug shell thing on her back. My little Halloween girls are so cute! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Cute birthday party

My family and I were invited to a birthday party this weekend, for a 1 year old. Our neighbors, Kim and Steve, are such a nice couple...doting parents of Griffin. He is an adorable, bright eyed, blonde haired little man. The party was held in the back yard with a magician/facepainter for entertainment. I know, I know, for a 1 year old? Steve was the voice of reason...kind of....he said no to the petting zoo...HAHA! The kids had a blast! The magician kept them entertained with balloon animals, real animals, bubbles, music, a tunnel, and a parachute. Teya loved every minute of it. She was dancing around and smiling from ear to ear. The magician also was an amazing face painter....hence the picture of Teya.

Tiana could have cared less...she just wanted to get down and walk around....we could have been on the moon for all she cared. I think that little Griffin felt the same way, but we had fun! Some would say the party was silly, but I think it was a great success. Thanks Kim (and Steve)!

My little carrot top

Before TJ and I had Teya he warned me that if we had a redhead that we would shave her head. I ofcourse always gave him a dirty look and imagined my little redhaired babies. Well, Teya came out with blonde hair and I just figured that any others we had would follow suit. Then, SURPRISE, out came Tiana Kay. Actually when she was born it looked brown, my stepmother kept saying that it would be red. Low and behold...a few weeks later it began to look red. HOORAY! Other than the haircolor it looks like I had nothing to do with the making of Tiana, she is the spitting image of her father. TJ must have really strong genes, both of my girls look just like him...so does Jalon. All I know is that my baby has red hair. Her haircolor is almost the exact color that mine is...I am elated. I read somewhere that in about 50 years redhair will no longer be a phenomenon brought by nature...only a bottle. I guess the redhair genes are passive ones. But as long as I have anything to do with it, redhair will continue...oh yes.

Memories

Here is a fun little game...Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.On your mark...get set...blog your memories!!

Tiana is walking!

Well, I guess we are in for it now. My baby has finally started walking...she has taken her sweet time doing it too. She is 14 and a half months old, and walking is currently her second choice of transportation. Wait, I meant to say third. She prefers to be carried...little princess in her own mind. In close second comes crawling, she is a fast little bugger on all fours. Tiana will soon realize that walking is indeed better than crawling, but for now she is still my baby. Not already my toddler. Time really does fly. I will try to post a clip of her crawling, that is if I can figure out why my stupid video camera won't transfer files to my computer....(INSERT VERY LOUD SCREAM HERE, I have officially had it with computers. I will, however, brave it a little bit longer for those of you who are actually interested in what goes on in our lives.

I've turned into my mother!

Well I have finally got this stupid blog going. It had better be worth it. I have been working on it FOREVER. I always felt that I was a well educated, smart person. Until I rejoined the world of computers after way too long. I remember watching in horror as my mother would try to figure out any type of electronic device in our home. She was always clueless. It would take an incredibly long time for her to do anything, most of the time we would end up waiting for my stepfather to get home with the wisdom of electronics. But now, as if beauty school didn't take most of my brain...not to mention pregnancies as well....I have turned into my mother when it comes to electronics! Do computers even fall into that category? Oh well, pretty soon I will have absolutely no braincells left and will enjoy the kids shows I'm forced to keep on the television all day. Until then....I'll try to figure out what the heck I'm doing. Bare with me.
